The execution contracts for the construction of the regional emergency hospitals in Iași and Cluj were signed today, at the Victoria Palace.

The Regional Emergency Hospital in Iasi will represent a reference point in the medical field, with a capacity of 850 beds and 20 operating rooms. It will become the leading provider of tertiary care in the North-East region of the country, focusing on the care of critical patients and cases requiring high-level technology and expertise.

The Regional Emergency Hospital in Cluj, for its part, will be a medical institution of major importance, with a capacity of 849 beds and a varied range of facilities and services. This will be the main center for the care of critical patients and complex cases in the North-West region of the country. With 336 surgical care beds, 343 medical care beds, 64 paediatrics and obstetrics-gynecology beds, 82 intensive care beds (including 10 pediatric intensive care), as well as specialized facilities for neonatal intensive care and for the burn unit, this hospital will offer a full range of medical services. It will also include a dedicated cardiology centre, an integrated operating theater with 22 surgical theatres, and will provide day inpatient and day surgery services.
