The president of the NHIH, Horațiu Moldovan, announced that of the almost 2 billion lei, from the budgetary reserve fund, for the National Single Health Social Insurance Fund, 964 million lei are directed towards medical expenses – goods and services, which means a huge support for NHIH, because we can pay for all medicines, with and without personal contribution, and all medical services, up to date.

At the same time, with 1 billion lei we will cover the deficit resulting from the application of legal provisions regarding sick leave and social health insurance benefits. This is the guarantee that employers who paid for sick leave from their own funds will receive the settlement of the respective amounts.
