The European Commission has partnered with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) to strengthen enforcement of intellectual property (IP) rights under the Digital Services Act (DSA).

The agreement, effective immediately, aims to tackle systemic IP risks on VLOPs and VLOSEs, including the spread of counterfeit goods and online piracy. It will also support judicial authorities, enforcement bodies, smaller online intermediaries, and IP rights holders in addressing IP infringements more effectively.
