The European Commission will hold an information session on 20 April 2026 to present the call “PPPA-2026-CITIZEN-PLATFORM-TV”, which aims to develop a citizen-facing European TV and video news portal for streaming, search, and translation of news and political documentaries produced by accredited media in EU Member States.

The call, part of the Pilot Projects and Preparatory Actions framework, targets media organisations, broadcasters, online platforms, AI companies, and other stakeholders involved in content creation and rights management. It will fund one project with up to €5.5 million in EU support, covering up to 80% of eligible costs over a maximum of 24 months, and requires a consortium of at least five entities from different eligible countries. The proposal deadline is 28 May 2026.
