The National Health Insurance House published a message from its President, Horațiu Moldovan, highlighting the importance of institutional collaboration in advancing the digital transformation of Romania’s healthcare system, emphasizing the development of the new Health Insurance IT Platform (PIAS) and the “My e-Health” patient portal, which is expected to provide secure access to personal medical records, electronic prescriptions, treatment information, medical documents and a national appointment booking system.

The NHIH president stated that the initiative aims to improve transparency, accessibility and patient-centred healthcare services, while acknowledging the cooperation of the Ministry of Health and institutional partners involved in the project and reaffirming its commitment to building a more efficient and modern healthcare system through continuity and collaboration.
