The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has introduced a new contact form that allows stakeholders to report potential inconsistencies in the interpretation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) across Europe.
The initiative is part of the commitments outlined in the EDPB Helsinki Statement, which aims to improve clarity, stakeholder engagement, and the consistent application of GDPR rules across EU member states.
The tool enables stakeholders to flag differences between national data protection authorities’ positions or between national interpretations and EDPB guidance. While the EDPB will not provide individual responses, the submissions will be reviewed collectively by Board members to identify areas where further action may be needed to enhance regulatory consistency.
