BEREC has launched a Call for Inputs seeking feedback on the development and adoption of mobile network APIs, with contributions accepted until 26 August 2026, 17:00 CEST.
The consultation focuses on how standardized network APIs can support innovation, improve interoperability, and enable new digital services across Europe. BEREC is gathering input on the roles of key ecosystem players, market trends, business models, adoption drivers, technical and regulatory challenges, and the interoperability of APIs across operators and vendors.
The initiative builds on the growing adoption of the GSMA Open Gateway and the CAMARA open-source project, which aim to standardize APIs that allow developers to access network capabilities such as authentication, fraud prevention, quality on demand, and network programmability.
Stakeholders are invited to submit their responses by email, preferably in English, with contributions to be published in accordance with BEREC’s public consultation and privacy policies.
