The government has approved a memorandum that allows for the organization of competitions to fill 6,850.75 vacant positions in the public health system. Of these, 6,452 positions are for hospitals financed by FNUASS, and 398.75 positions for county ambulance services.

The most positions are for nurses (2,593) and auxiliary medical personnel (2,567) , followed by 1,433.75 positions for doctors and 257 for pharmacists, biologists, biochemists and physicists .

According to the interim Minister of Health, the measure contributes to balancing human resources and ensuring the continuity of medical services. The decision allows hospitals and ambulance services to immediately begin recruitment procedures.
