The Board of Supervisors of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) has elected Stavros Konstantas, Director of Occupational and Private Insurance Supervision at the Bank of Greece, to EIOPA’s Management Board.

Mr Konstantas replaces Ante Žigman, former President of the Board of the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (HANFA), following Mr Žigman’s appointment as Governor of the Croatian National Bank (HNB). Mr Konstantas’ membership starts on 13 August 2026, and will run for a period of two and a half years, with the option to extend for an additional term.
