The European Commission will host a hybrid workshop titled “Artificial intelligence and earth observation: From innovation to services” on 9 – 10 March 2026 in Brussels.
The event will bring together Copernicus and DestinE users, policymakers, industry, academia and IT experts to explore how artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, high-performance computing and digital twins can transform Earth observation services. Organised by the Commission’s Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS), with support from HaDEA, the workshop will focus on future challenges and opportunities for Copernicus ahead of the 2028–2034 EU budget period.
Registration for in-person attendance is mandatory and open until 1 March 2026, with limited capacity. Online participants will have access to live streaming and Q&A.
