Today, 28 January 2026, the SECURE project will launch its first round of financial support measures to help small businesses comply with new cybersecurity requirements for their hardware and software products.
Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) will be able to request co-funding of up to €30,000 to strengthen the cybersecurity of their products and ensure compliance with the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). The CRA, which introduces mandatory cybersecurity requirements covering planning, design, development, and maintenance, will enter into force on 11 December 2027.
Applications for the first round of support can be submitted from 28 January to 29 March 2026.
The SECURE project is coordinated by the Italian National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre and involves partners from seven EU Member States. It is funded under the Digital Europe Programme (DEP) and managed by the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC).
