The Ministry of Health announced that nearly RON 500 million was disbursed in July 2026 under Romania’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) to support the modernization of the healthcare system.

The funding targeted investments in hospital infrastructure, primary healthcare, outpatient services, intensive care units, infection prevention and control, digitalization, and the procurement of medical equipment.

According to the ministry, the payments are intended to accelerate the implementation of NRRP-funded projects and support the modernization and resilience of Romania’s healthcare system.
